Without reading any reviews prior to visiting Donut King, I never thought I'd stroll into here to try out. But thanks to Kona Coffee Purveyors across the street being so packed I decided to bend the knee to the King. We walked by it so many times and it just looked like a standard boring donut shop. Nothing spectacular on the exterior, no huge lines, no influencers recording and photo taking, just an average donut shop. But Donut King did not disappoint--the donuts had the perfect fluff and softness. They were really tasty donuts. What caught be off guard a bit was their croissant bites. Thought at first they were just small mini croissants but they're also glazed. Something definitely different about it--it was just really tasty overall. Either way, Donut King was definitely worth a stop in if you're craving donuts. Cheers
A gem whenever we are visiting Waikiki. We love how it's literally a few steps away from the hotel we frequently stay at. The varieties of donuts are absolutely delicious!! We go early morning so everything is incredibly fresh and warm! The service is quick and efficient. The shop is quite small but you're just there to pick what you want and go about your day, so there's no complaints here. We definitely always look forward to grabbing some sweet treats from here!
Went here with my donut connoisseur child. They have a variety of the pink sprinkles donuts-her favorite. They had all kinds of unique Hawaii flavors. I got a guava filled one, which tasted great!! It was pretty busy around 9 am on a Saturday, but that's expected. Service was great and my iced coffee hit the spot!
The true King of Donuts on the island! Be ready to spend money here though as one donut costs $3.50 on up! A box of a dozen can easily cost way over $30! But they are definitely delicious! My favorite place for donuts on Oahu!
We were spending the day in Honolulu, exploring the sights of the city. We came across the Donut King. A mid morning snack! When I saw the Ube donut covered in chocolate, I had to have it. Donut King was a random stop-by, and I'm glad that I did! I saw this from across the street, early in the morning, and thought that I should give them a try. They had a nice selection of both yeast and cake donuts - I tried their Original Honey Glaze yeast donut, and it was delicious! It was unbelievably airy and soft, and it had the right amount of the honey glaze on it. Slightly at a higher price point (but, what isn't in HI?), this was a nice little treat in the morning. Wow! The donuts here are SO GOOD. The donuts are made fresh (you can see the bakers at the cash register rolling dough/ making the donuts). Not to mention the donuts are fluffy and soft, not too dense. Honestly such a chefs kiss! My husband and I came 3 days in a row to grab a donut and a coffee. If you're in the area, definitely a must try!
